High powered flashlight?
I want to built a high powered flashlight, with a Battery Pack canister, and with a cord to the light. i want to use LED bulbs. i just need to know what batteries and bulbs would be compatible for about a 5hr period, and that are rechargeable. and the battery pack can weigh up to 20lbs.

Or you can just purchase a Fenix TK40 variable output (13 - 600+ lumens) Cree MC-E quad-die emitter that will last from 150hrs to 1hr running on 8xAA NiMH rechargeable cells.
At the high setting of 277 lumens it will last 4.5hrs, just shy of your requirement. On the turbo 630 lumens setting it will only last an hour and this is with only 8 lightweight AA cells though.
Without batteries the unit weighs 284grams and the regulated output remains constant until the cells are drained.
Depending how bright you need the light there is a small 2xAA Fenix LD20 that will run 71hrs/ 9 lumens, 5hrs/ 94 lumens and 2hrs/ 180 lumens. It is only 56grams without batteries.
With a 20lb battery pack you can run one of these lights continuous for months, the Cree emitter has a rated life of 50,000hrs.
Get the low self-discharge NiMH cells such as Sanyo eneloops. Some standared NiMH cells discharge within only a week just sitting in your flashlight off.
