I used the clearblue fertility monitor for an entire month, no PEAK reading, only high, what could cause that?
My husband and I are trying to have a baby and I have been using a clearblue fertility monitor for a entire month. I got several days of high readings but no peak. Is it normal not to have a peak on the first month of use?
It is normal not to have a peak during the first month of use. The monitor is supposed to "learn" you, and it takes at least a month to do that. The first month you'll probably only get high readings, and then the second month, you'll get 4-5 high readings and a peak as it learns your body. Your highest fertility level for this month will be stored, and it will recognize it as a peak next month. It doesn't mean that you didn't O. A good resource you may want to consider is www.mothering.com- go to the discuss section- there's a forum called "trying to conceive" and a whole thread on "CBFM mamas"- (I linked it for you below) they know all about that machine, are happy to answer any questions you may have, and are super nice.
