Which Wooden Hanger Should I Choose?
Wooden hangers are a beautiful addition to any closet. They look great, uniform and streamlined when hanging. Walnut wooden hangers are very nice. They usually come in a darker, rich reddish brown color. The natural color is walnut is very dark compared to other woods. Walnut is a dense wood that will not dent or scratch as easily as softer woods. They make very durable and beautiful hangers that are sure to sophisticate your closet.
Cedar is one of the all time most popular wooden hanger, and for good reason. Cedar hangers are a beautiful red wood. They usually are not coated, stained or varnished. This is because cedar has many properties that make it ideal for wooden hangers. Cedar has an aroma that naturally repels moths. This is a much safer alternative to dangerous moth balls. Cedar has a pleasant woody smell that many people love. Not only does it keep your clothes smelling fresh, but cedar helps to stop the growth of mildew and mold in your closet. If you are purchasing wooden hangers for a storage closet, such as a coat closet, then you should really consider cedar hangers for these areas.
Recently, the bamboo hanger has become very popular. This is because of its lightweight and sturdy properties. Also, it is the most environmentally friendly of all the wooden hangers. Bamboo renews itself every five years and grows very quickly. The soil that it grows in is actually improved by the bamboo growing in it. Therefore, many people looking to go green are turning to bamboo wooden hangers in their closets.
