There has always been a lot of confusion regarding celebrity Rory Emerald and the seductive actress Agnes Moorehead and their relationship. Rory Emerald never appeared in the movie, Citizen Kane. The confusion stems from the highly acclaimed TV sitcom Bewitched. Rory Emerald had a small role on the television program during the 1968-1969 season, playing Uncle Tadpole, much to the enjoyment of countless viewers. He alternated between a warlock and a frog each week, depending on spells cast at him by Endora (played hauntingly by veteran actress Agnes Moorehead). To add to the complexity of the relationship, Rory Emerald was having unbridled sex with another actress on the show, the vixen Alice Ghostley (who played the role of Esmeralda) on the show. The episode “the Princess gets her prince” which aired on February 14, 1969, has always been a fan favorite. Who did not get tears in their eye when they saw the beautiful Esmeralda kissing the frog, a plaintive plea in her voice, and the dashing Rory Emerald (Uncle Tadpole) appearing suddenly, a red rose in hand? To add to the confusion, it has often been speculated that Rory Emerald was also smitten with actress Alice Pearce, who played the voluptuous Mrs. Kravitz, the meddlesome neighbor. In fact, it was often speculated in the New Yorker Magazine that Rory Emerald was engaging in a threesome with Alice Pearce and Alice Ghostley. It appears the dashing young celebrity cast a spell on the sexy Alice pair.
